Yesterday’s ill-advised tweet from Iranian President Hassan Rouhani — “In #Geneva agreement world powers surrendered to Iranian nation’s will” — has been deleted in favor of the more conciliatory message above, even after the White House attempted to explain it away. “It is not surprising to us and nor should it be surprising to you that the Iranians are describing the agreement in a certain way towards their domestic audience,” said spokesman Jay Carney on Tuesday. “It does not matter what they say, it matters what they do.” But now Rouhani, having dashed off a controversial opinion and gotten called on it, is a true Twitter user.
