Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, two recently freed members of the Russian protest group Pussy Riot, will be at Barclays Center on February 5 for a human-rights benefit concert hosted by Amnesty International. (Although, according to the announcement, they will simply “address attendees,” because they’re not technically a band anymore.) Also on the bill are the Flaming Lips and Lauryn Hill, who has something in common with the guests of honor.
