As the search for debris continues (bad weather has caused delays), renewed suspicion about the captain’s role in the disappearance of the Malaysian jet is still lacking in evidence, or even clues, after an FBI examination of his hard drive and flight simulator. Although the investigation is ongoing, the New York Times reports that they have so far “found little” on the machines, despite some earlier whispers about files deleted from the at-home flight simulator. “Something on the drive which does not seem important today could be, when viewed with additional data obtained from the background of the individual, his other activity, interviews and data from the flight recorded,” an FBI official cautioned the Times. “Then, something that seemed like nothing may be something.” Or it may just be nothing.
