Not only has the Los Angeles Times admitted that it was “incorrect in reporting that Occidental College failed to disclose 27 alleged sexual assaults that occurred in 2012,” but the journalist on the story, Jason Felch, has been fired for engaging in an “inappropriate relationship” with a source. (“Felch acknowledged that after the relationship ended, he continued to use the person as a source for future articles.”) It didn’t work out for Zoe Barnes either.
