Actor Scott Foley, Scandal’s Jake Ballard — the head of B613 who secretly runs the country — arrived in Washington for the first time this weekend for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The show shoots entirely in Los Angeles, Foley explained last night at the People magazine party. “They use green screens a lot so they superimpose the Jefferson Memorial,” he said. “I had never seen the White House before. It is very clean and short. When I flew in we sort of did a circle over the airport and I didn’t see anything. I expected a lot more.”
Speaking of flying, we couldn’t help but to ask the actor where Jake and Olivia (Kerry Washington) were heading at the end of this past season.
“I would like to think they are flying off somewhere where they are completely off the grid where there is no internet, and there is no phone, where she can’t be drawn back to that world,” Foley replied. “Maybe the South Pacific somewhere.”
And what should Jake’s game be once the pair arrives in the tropics? “I think he needs to do everything he can to take her mind off the president,” Foley explained. “Sex, not near the sand. Sex, wine, and popcorn. Just a lot of sex to keep her mind off the president.”
