A couple weeks after surviving a flight from San Jose to Maui in the wheel well of commercial aircraft, 15-year-old Yahya Abdi left Hawaii on Friday. The LA Times reports that Abdi’s actions are being filed under, “We’re not even mad, that’s amazing,” and no criminal charges are expected against him. However, there’s no word on where he’s headed or if he’ll be returned to his father in California. Abdi, who has been in the custody of Hawaii’s Department of Human Services since arriving there, reportedly ran away from home in the hopes of finding his mother in Ethiopia.
