A day after the New York Times refused to endorse Andrew Cuomo, the paper made another dig at the governor by rejecting Kathy Hochul, his choice for lieutenant governor, citing her “deeply troubling record on health reform, gun control and environmental deregulation.” The Times says Columbia University law professor Timothy Wu, who coined the phrase net neutrality, can “bring fresh ideas to a very stale and often corrupt political culture” in Albany. Wu doesn’t have much experience, but the paper says that’s okay, because “the office of lieutenant governor in New York is a feeble one.” Uh, thanks?
