In his first appearance on a late-night show since beginning his presidential campaign, Donald Trump returned to NBC last night for a fairly banal interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Amid a mildly amusing SNL-esque skit and some soft questions from Fallon, Trump touched on such topics as Hillary Clinton (“She’s had a very tough time, I feel very badly for her”), Carly Florina (“I don’t know her, I never really met her. She’s a very nice woman”), and his Mexican border wall (“It’s gonna be a great wall”). Fallon also asked Trump if he has ever apologized for anything, and after first complaining about how that wasn’t one of the questions Fallon had given him in advance, Trump responded, “I fully think apologizing is a great thing, but you have to be wrong,” later adding, “I will absolutely apologize sometime in the hopefully distant future if I’m ever wrong.”
