Yesterday, Wisconsin governor Scott Walker decided to celebrate the very real holiday that is National Sandwich Day by posting not one but two tweets. First, Walker shared a picture of a very sad-looking ham-and-cheese sandwich (we’ll assume the latter was some locally sourced Wisco cheddar). This was at 11:57 a.m.
And then, just three minutes later, Walker followed up with his second lunch-inspired tweet, providing even more information about his affinity for ham-and-cheese.
Despite the flak for his lame sandwich on Thursday (see here: “Scott Walker’s sandwich tweets draw disdain of internet“), today Walker doubled down on his ham-and-cheese tweets, offering even more insight into his lunchtime routine. At two sandwiches a day for 26 years, Walker has eaten around 18,900 sandwiches. (This number is smaller if the double ham-and-cheese is just a workday thing, but, still, we’re talking a lot of sandwiches.)
Searching through Walker’s Twitter history reveals that, over the years, he has been a vocal advocate for his beloved ham-and-cheeses.
Scott. My man. Maybe try a sad desk salad. And for the love of the Green Bay Packers, please stop tweeting about ham-and-cheese sandwiches.
