On his birthday, Cooper DeJean gets pick-six
The man responsible for intercepting Patrick Mahomes and returning the pick for a touchdown is having quite a birthday thus far.
DeJean, a rookie cornerback for the Eagles, turned 22 today. It was the first career interception by DeJean, the 40th overall pick in last year's draft. DeJean was one of the best cornerbacks in the country in college at Iowa, where he finished with seven career interceptions, including three pick-six touchdowns in just one season in 2022.

Early on, it's looking good for the bets on the under
A thoroughly dominant defensive effort from the Eagles and Kansas City's bend-but-don't-break unit have bets on the under of 48.5 points looking good early.

Another call goes the Chiefs’ way ...
The Chiefs looked like they may have jumped offside on an Eagles field-goal attempt — which would have given Philly a first down — but instead the call was a false start on the Eagles. It was incredibly close, and the one replay shown in the stadium wasn’t the most conclusive.
For once the Eagles don't go for it on fourth down, lead 10-0
Philadelphia kicker Jake Elliott connected from 48 yards out and the Eagles extended their lead to 10-0.
The Eagles had it fourth-and-3 from the 25 before they elected to not go for it. A false start pushed the play back another 5 yards.
Eagles offense has dominated everywhere but scoreboard
Philadelphia has only seven points to show for it, but by most statistics it has dominated the first quarter-plus of Super Bowl 59.
With 9:30 to play before halftime, the Eagles have run 29 plays — 19 more than Kansas City.
The Eagles also have 151 yards, to the Chiefs' 26. Most surprising, perhaps, is that their running attack has accounted for relatively little of that total. Philadelphia has passed for 104 of its 151 yards. Saquon Barkley has only 20 yards on 10 carries.
