Lamar and his dancers, dressed in red, white and blue, formed a human-made American flag as Lamar switched to the hit "Humble."

The highly anticipated performance of the first solo hip-hop artist to headline halftime is now underway.

Amid dominant Eagles half, Saquon Barkley sets rushing record

Andrew Greif

Philadelphia running back Saquon Barkley is the new all-time NFL record holder for total rushing yards in a single season, including the playoffs. Denver's Terrell Davis set the previous record of 2,476 in 1998, but Barkley broke it, reaching 2,478 yards with his final carry of the first half.

Barkley rushed for 2,005 yards in the regular season, becoming only the ninth 2,000-yard rusher in league history, then gained 442 yards in Philadelphia's first three playoff victories to advance to Super Bowl 59.

Not great ...

Updated halftime odds from DraftKings say the Chiefs are a 10/1 underdog, meaning a bet for them to win this game would pay 10 times whatever you wager.

The spread — a number meant to be close to a 50/50 bet — is Eagles -15.5, meaning Philadelphia is expected to win by about 16 points.

Not even the yellow flags are going K.C.'s way

Even the yellow laundry is folding in Philadelphia's favor.

The Chiefs, whom conspiracy theorists will tell you the officials favor, have been flagged four times for 45 yards. The Eagles have only been penalized three times for 25 yards.

The NFL and the referees union were forced last week to take on baseless allegations that officials have been favoring Kansas City.

Patrick Mahomes hasn't played like this in months

Andrew Greif

Under pressure from Philadelphia's relentless pass rush all game, Patrick Mahomes has looked nothing like the player who continually rescued the Chiefs all season.

The last time Mahomes threw two interceptions in one game was nine games ago, on Nov. 17 at Buffalo. Not coincidentally, that was the only game the Chiefs lost during the regular season in which Mahomes played.

Women's sports stars shine in Nike ad

Women's sports has been having a moment, and one Super Bowl ad aimed to highlight that.

A new ad from Nike featured some of the biggest female athletes, including Caitlin Clark, Sha’Carri Richardson and Jordan Chiles, all looking bored as choruses of "you can't win" were heard behind clips of them showing off their skills.

The ad closed with a message in classic Nike font: "You can't win. So win."

We could be seeing a historic halftime lead

There have been 13 first-half shutouts in Super Bowl history — and every one of the teams that were ahead went on to win the game.

If the Chiefs don’t score this half, it will be the largest margin in a first-half shutout in Super Bowl history and one point away from the largest first-half lead in Super Bowl history.
