Off-duty coal miners helped to comb the crash site of the Malaysian Airlines jetliner in eastern Ukraine on Friday. The workers assisted rescue crews and police officers who have been trying to gather evidence which will provide clues about the doomed plane's final moments. The coal miners joined in the search effort in fields near the rebel-held village of Hrabove in the Donetsk region, which is about 25 miles from the Russian border. Fighting between pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian security forces has been raging in the area for months.
