The short film "Feeling Through” was inspired by a real-life meeting between director Doug Roland and a deaf-blind man. Roland worked with the Helen Keller National Center to cast Robert Tarango in his acting debut, the first deaf-blind actor to be cast in a lead role. The pair and executive producer Marlee Matlin speak to Lester Holt about making the short film.March 18, 2021
