NBC Select associate reporter Bianca Alvarez has had this carry-on for over two years and says it’s one of her most durable options. She loves that, despite being carry-on sized, the suitcase fits everything she needs due to the extra, expandable space. It also has a cushioned handle that makes rolling the carry-on much easier, even on the cobblestoned streets of Europe, says Alvarez. “I’ve taken it on domestic trips and international [trips] to England, Costa Rica, Italy and France and it still rolls and looks like I just got it,” she says.
The Weekender
This weekender bag is perfect for long weekend trips and shorter getaways. It has a large and spacious canvas body and a leather trim, along with a zippered pocket on the back that functions as a trolley sleeve, according to the brand. Alvarez especially loves the bag’s bottom compartment, which she says fits three to four pairs of her shoes.

Alvarez says this bag was one of her essentials as a former super-commuter. NBC Select editorial assistant Caitlin Cusack says that she “cannot travel without this bag”.
