iPhone 16e
The iPhone 16e replaces the iPhone SE series as Apple’s lowest-priced smartphone. At a glance, it looks very similar to the standard iPhone 16, but there are a few key differences to keep in mind. The 6.1-inch screen, processor, software, Face ID and USB-C charging are all largely the same. The 16e even has better battery life than the 16 — up to 26 hours (over 22 on the iPhone 16). But the 16e doesn’t have an ultra-wide or macro camera lens, a camera control button or MagSafe compatibility. You can compare all the differences between the iPhone 16e and 16 here.
Beats Powerbeats Pro 2
Beast released its original Powerbeats Pro in 2019 so it’s been long overdue for an upgrade. These Powerbeats Pro 2 are totally redesigned, with a new shape, fit, case and features like automated noise canceling and heart rate sensors built-in. NBC Select reporter Harry Rabinowitz tested them for a week after the brand sent him a sample for review. While Rabinowitz says he’s normally doesn’t love wearing ear-hook headphones, these felt secure and stable in his ears, no matter what he did. You can read more in his Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 review.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Phones
Samsung launched its latest series of Galaxy phones with the new S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra versions. The S25 is the base model, the S25+ is a larger version of the S25, and the S25 Ultra is the most premium version, with superior speed, cameras and battery life. All three of the new phones have a new processor that assists in all-around performance and helps deliver much faster speeds for AI-related tasks, according to the brand.
A big upgrade to the S25 Ultra is a new 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (up from 12-megapixels in the S24 Ultra). All those extra megapixels should provide more detail and better low-light performance compared to the previous model.
Panasonic Lumix ZS99 Digital Camera
If you want to photograph far-off subjects without lugging around a huge camera, this point-and-shoot camera is a great option that fits in most jacket pockets. Rabinowitz has been testing it for about a week after the brand sent him a unit for review. It has an impressive 30-times zoom range, according to Rabinowitz, and he says he’s taken shots of far-off birds and landscape details with ease. While there are plenty of other compact cameras that take more detailed images, not many are this small and can zoom in this far.
JLab Go Lux ANC Wireless Headphones
Jlab makes some of our favorite budget-friendly wireless earbuds and workout headphones, and these on-ear headphones are similarly low-priced compared to the competition. The headphones have active noise cancellation and transparency modes, and can connect to up to two devices at the same time. A full charge gets up to 40 hours with noise cancelling on and up to 70 with it off, according to the brand. Like most of the brand’s latest products, you can customize your controls and equalizer settings by downloading and connecting the headphones to the Jlab app.
BioLite Dash 450 Running Headlamp
Biolite makes a few outdoor running headlamps — this one is best suited for runners because it manages to be lightweight (it weighs less than three ounces) but has a beam that reaches up to 90 meters away and a wide flood light that illuminates 15 feet in front of you. Both the front and rear light are dimmable, with steady and strobe modes. It gets up to 60 hours of battery life in its low brightness mode and up to 3 hours in its high brightness mode.
Beauty and wellness launches
Shark CryoGlow Mask
Shark Beauty launched its first LED face mask, an FDA-cleared device, which marks the brand’s first foray into the skin device category. The mask has four modes: infrared light to improve dull skin, red light therapy to reduce fine lines and firm the skin, blue light to combat breakouts and even texture and cooling pads (which can be used in conjunction with the other treatments) to depuff the under-eye area, according to the brand.
“I’ve been trying out the Shark CryoGlow for a week after the brand sent it to me, and I’m loving it so far,” says NBC Select updates editor Mili Godio. “The built-in under-eye pads are my favorite part — they’re cooling and depuffing, so they’re ideal to use in the morning. Plus, as someone with very sensitive, rosacea-prone skin, I appreciate that it hasn’t irritated my skin after using it every day for the past week.”
Quip Ultra Next Generation Smart Sonic Electric Toothbrush
Quip’s newest electric toothbrush has 10 intensity levels — all you have to do is swipe through its LED touch bar to select your preferred brush mode. To ensure accurate and safe cleaning, the brush has pressure sensors and guided timers, and connect to its companion app, which will track your brushing and alert you to areas you can improve on. The toothbrush is made of seamless silicone that prevents bacteria and product buildup. It comes with a mirror mount, stand, travel case and charger cable — you have up to 30 days of use with a single charge, according to Quip.
Laneige Perfect Renew Triple Signature Serum
This serum combines a retinol and ceramide formula, a collagen peptide formula and a RE.D Flavanoid and ferulic acid formula to combat fine lines, dull skin and a loss of firmness, according to Laneige. You can use it during your nighttime skin care routine after your toner and before moisturizing. The three serums will dispense simultaneously from the bottle, which is purposely designed to keep each one fresh and uninterrupted from light, which could impact its overall efficacy.
Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum
Laneige also launched this lip serum this month. Like its lip mask and balm, this serum hydrates the lips and helps protect and maintain its moisture barrier. It’s the brand’s first tinted product, and it has the shiniest finish of its lip lineup, according to the brand. Compared to other popular tinted lip balms, oils and serums, it has a donut applicator (the same way you squeeze toothpaste out of a bottle), which makes it comfortable and easy to apply evenly, according to Laniege.
T3 Aire IQ
The Aire IQ is the newest hair dryer in T3’s lineup. The smart tool adjusts heat and speed settings based on your hair texture to help it retain moisture and minimize damage. The hair dryer has a digital display, a designated motor to maintain its durability with higher air outputs, three attachments, and an auto-pause sensor (it will automatically turn on and off when you place it down or on the accompanying stand.)
“It’s one of the fastest hair dryers I have ever used,” says NBC Select associate reporter Bianca Alvarez, who received a courtesy sample weeks before its launch. “It saves my custom settings, so when I’m ready to use it again, I don’t have to do anything special and can begin blow-drying my hair immediately.”
Naturium The Calmer Ceramide Body Wash
Naturium makes some of our favorite body care items, and this body wash, which doubles as a facial cleanser, is designed to moisturize dry and itchy skin while supporting the skin barrier, according to the brand. It has all the ingredients I typically look for in a quality sensitive-skin friendly body wash like ceramides, colloidal oatmeal, allantoin (a moisturizing and soothing compound) and cocoa butter.
Olaplex Nº0.5 Scalp Longevity Treatment
This leave-in treatment, which is suitable for all hair and scalp types, helps target scalp dryness and irritation. The lightweight serum uses a blend of ingredients to protect the scalp’s barrier and microbiome from environmental aggressors like the sun, product buildup and more, according to Olaplex. Doing so helps maintain the optimal environment for healthy hair growth, according to the brand.f
Dr. Idriss Barrier Baste Lip Basting Duo
This two-step lip system includes a lip peel to use at night and a lip baste to use afterward (or on its own in the morning). The peel has both hydrating and exfoliating ingredients in it to smooth your lips while the lip balm, which uses squalane, ceramides and shea butter to locks in moisture. Following both steps helps relieve chapped lips and protects your lip barrier, according to the brand.
Amika Midnight Mender Overnight Strength Repair Treatment
This overnight, leave-in hair mask helps reduce hair breakage and repair damage caused by hot tools, environmental aggressors and chemical treatments. It does so by using ingredients focused on improving elasticity, shine, softness and strength for those with damaged, brittle and high-porosity hair, according to the brand.
Byoma Phyto Mucin Glow Serum
Byoma’s new daily serum uses phyto-mucin, a snail mucin alternative derived from Japanese roots and plants, as one of its three key ingredients. Phyto-mucin helps plump the skin, retain its moisture and strengthen its barrier, according to the brand. It’s suitable for all skin types, and you can apply it morning and night after toning and before moisturizing.
Odele Thickening Shampoo
This thickening shampoo has glycerin, caffeine and biotin in it, which are all ingredients our experts recommend for those with thinning hair. “It’s too early to notice much of a difference, but so far, I love using this shampoo and conditioner duo,” says Alvarez, who received a sample from the brand after noticing some thinning and shedding. “It leaves my hair and scalp extremely clean, soft, shinier and overall and gives me healthier-looking hair.”
Tilt Beauty
Tilt’s a new company and the first beauty brand to receive the Arthritis Foundation’s Ease of Use Certification. That certification means that its hero products — Lashscape Mascara and Grip Stick Hydrating Lip Treatment — are designed to make life easier and less painful for those with Arthritis and chronic pain. Since both products have the National Psoriasis Foundation Seal of Recognition, they’re also suitable for those with sensitive and psoriasis-prone skin. Tilt Beauty also uses the Braille Institute’s Atkinson Hyperlegible font across its website and packaging to help those with low vision.
Cécred Tools Collection
Cécred, Beyoncé’s hair care brand, launched its first hair tools, including a paddle brush and three combs. The Vented Paddle Brush has flexible, easy-to-clean bristles that detangle all hair types, and its honeycomb design increases airflow for easy blow drying, according to the brand. The heat-resistant Parting Tail Comb helps smooth edges and tame flyaways, while the stainless steel tail helps precisely part and section the hair. The Rake Comb has extra long tapered teeth to detangle the hair and reduce breakage, and the Wide Tooth Comb gently detangles hair and evenly distributes product throughout. All the combs have metal rings, so you can easily hang and store them.
Augustinus Bader The Hydrogel Face Mask
This hydrogel sheet mask, which is suitable for all skin types, uses a blend of vitamins, amino acids, and peptides to moisturize the skin, reduce fine lines and improve dull skin, according to Augustinus Bader. All you have to do is apply it to clean, dry skin for 20 minutes, remove and pat the excess serum into the skin. You can also place it in the fridge before using it to create a cooling effect and target puffiness, according to the brand. This mask is available individually or in a pack of six.
Raw Sugar Living The Sensitive One Shampoo
Raw Sugar Living launched a sensitive shampoo line for children and adults, both of which have the National Eczema Association’s Seal of Acceptance. Free of common irritants (like sulfates and fragrances) that trigger sensitive and reactive skin, these daily shampoos gently cleanses the hair and scalp while also moisturizing it, according to the brand. “It lathers extremely well and hasn’t triggered my dry scalp or an eczema flare-up on my forehead or neck,” says Alvarez.
Starface Skin Care
Although Starface is primarily known for its pimple patches, it entered two new spaces with the launch of its Star Wash + Salicylic Acid (a gel-to-foam cleanser) and Star Cream + Salicylic Acid (a lightweight water-based moisturizer.) Both oil-free products are best for acne-prone, sensitive skin, and salicylic acid is a key ingredient many dermatologists recommend for unclogging and minimizing pores. Since salicylic acid can be drying, the formulas also have niacinamide, glycerin and hyaluronic acid in them, all of which are hydrating to offset any irritation.
Versed Makeup
Versed makes some of our favorite skin care items, and this month the brand expanded into skin care-focused makeup. Each product has ingredients you’d typically find in skin care products that don’t usually come in traditional makeup. For example, the tinted sunscreen has hyaluronic acid for hydration, the concealer has caffeine in it to depuff and reduce dark circles and the mascara has vitamin E to condition your lashes, according to the brand.
“Everything is very beginner- and user-friendly, and they all have natural but buildable coverage,” says Alvarez, who’s been using the entire line for a few weeks after being sent courtesy samples from the brand. The noncomedogenic, tinted mineral sunscreen, which has the National Rosacea Society’s Seal of Acceptance, was a standout for her. “Immediately, I was impressed with the formulation because some tinted SPFs have very rich, thick consistencies that can get uncomfortable and feel cakey, but feels like a traditional serum that blends seamlessly into my skin.”
Footwear launches
On Cloudsurfer 2
The Cloudsurfer was On’s first shoe, and 15 years after its debut, it just got an upgrade. The brand redesigned the Cloudsurfer 2 to have a more streamlined look and redesigned its upper with breathable fabric to keep your feet cool. The shoe also has new foam cushioning and a more durable outsole with an extra grippy traction pattern so you don’t have to worry about wearing it on uneven pavement or rocky roads.
“The Cloudsurfer is my second favorite running shoe On makes (the Cloudeclipse will always be my number one), so I was excited to try the newest iteration,” says Malin (the brand sent her a pair of sneakers to test). “The Cloudsurfer 2 still has everything I love about it, like the rocker-shaped outsole and thick midsole, but it looks sleeker and has a firmer feel. I’ve been doing my four-to-five mile runs in this sneaker for about a month, and will continue wearing them as daily trainers.”
Hoka Project Transport
Project Transport is an iteration of Hoka’s original Transport sneaker, which made our list of the brand’s best walking shoes. It’s a pull-on sneaker with an auto-locking zipper on the front where laces would typically be. Hoka designed it for everyday wear and commuting, and it has a minimalist style with a textured, water-resistant upper. The shoe’s midsole cushioning is made in part from sugarcane, and its grippy rubber outsole adds durability.
Hoka Speed Loafer (sold out)
It took less than 24 hours for this sneaker-loafer hybrid to sell out, so while you can’t buy it right now, you can sign up to get an email when it restocks. The top half of the shoe looks like a loafer with its leather upper, leather sockliner, suede mudguard and tassel, but the bottom half looks like a sneaker with its thick rubber outsole and prominent treads. The shoe has similar midsole cushioning to its Speedgoat 5 trail running shoes, according to Hoka.
Brooks Hyperion Elite 4 PB
The Hyperion Elite 4 PB is Brooks’ latest race-day sneaker. It has a carbon fiber plate that’s customized to each shoe shoe and a new type of cushioning that its softest, lightest and most responsive yet. The sneaker’s stiff upper help locks your foot in place so it doesn’t move around on the platform. It’s perforated to maximize airflow, especially on long runs when feet tend to swell the most.
Brooks Glycerin 22
Brooks just updated its Glycerin sneaker, which is an NBC Select-staff favorite for walking, running and everyday wear. The latest model has a new type of nitrogen-infused foam with larger blocks of cushioning in the heel to make for plush landings, and smaller blocks of cushioning in the forefoot for responsive takeoffs. It comes in two styles: standard and GTS. The Glycerin 22 GTS has extra support to stabilize feet and reduce excess motion.
“I’ve been a fan of Brooks’ Glycerin sneakers for years, and the newest version does not disappoint,” says NBC Select reporter Zoe Malin. “They’re extremely supportive, and I definitely feel the newly added foam in the heel — it makes my landings much softer and more controlled.”
Saucony Guide 18
“I’ve been testing the Saucony Guide 18 for about two months and it’s quickly become one of my favorite daily trainers,” says Malin, who runs about 30 miles a week. “The sneakers are lightweight, so I kind of forget I’m wearing them, and their thick layer of cushioning is soft enough that it has a little give, yet structured enough to effectively support me. The midsole also absorbs impact really well, which takes stress off my joints.”
The Guide 18 has an asymmetric design with a broad base and high sidewalls to help your feet smoothly roll through strides. It’s breathable thanks to its mesh upper, and has a carbon rubber outsole that adds traction. The shoe is made with a padded heel collar that helps create a snug fit, plus there’s a tassel on the back of the shoe to help you pull it on.
Adidas Adizero Evo SL
After its limited release at the Berlin Marathon in September 2024, the Adidas Adizero Evo SL sneaker is finally available for runners everywhere to buy. It’s best for medium-distance runs (three to 12 miles) and the most lightweight shoe in the brand’s running line. The sneaker has a rocker-shaped outsole with light, soft cushioning that’s evenly distributed across the midsole to make for smooth strides. Its woven mesh upper adds breathability, plus it has bands inside it that hug feet and keep them secure. There’s also a grippy patterned outsole.
Puma ForeverRun Nitro 2
This is the second version of Puma’s ForeverRun Nitro sneaker, and it now has more stability thanks to a wider base and added heel support. The shoe’s midsole has a thick layer of dual-density cushioning that’s softer at the core and firmer around the rim. The midsole is designed to keep your feet centered on the platform as you move through strides, and it has a comfortable cushioned heel collar as well as a grippy rubber outsole. There’s also prominent heel pull tabs at the back of the shoes to help you put them on.
Ooofos OOmy Zen
Ooofos’ new recovery shoe has a closed-toe design, which is unlike many of its other models that are flip flops or slides. The OOmy Zen are made to wear post-workout to absorb as much shock as possible, allowing your feet to relax after putting them to work, according to the brand. The slip-on shoes have a seamless knit upper with tabs on the ankle collar to help you put them on, as well as a soft, thick, cushioned midsole. The rocker-shaped outsole is wide, giving you support underfoot while you’re walking.
Apparel
Lululemon Glow Up Super-High-Rise Tight
Lululemon ranked highly in our list of the 50 best leggings, and its new Glow Up Tight is another pair you’ll want to add to your collection. It comes in two high-rise styles: 7/8 length with a 25-inch inseam and full-length with a 28-inch inseam. The leggings are made with the brand’s smoothing, supportive Ultralu fabric, and while its waistband has minimal seams, its back has seams that help sculpt and lift your body. The hems are stitch-free.

Knix FreeFlex Demi Bra
Knix, best known for its wireless bras, launched its first wired bra this month. Its underwire is made from flexible carbonized wire instead of metal, so it moves with your body while lifting, separating and supporting your chest, according to the brand. The bra has smooth, no-show demi foam cups, which means it has medium coverage, and flexible straps, as well as an adjustable hook-and-eye closure. You can buy the bra in sizes 28 to 40 A to E, and 42 A to D.
1-800 Contacts The Framery

It has hundreds of styles to choose from across price points, and a handful of frames are $79, which is the lowest price The Framery offers. You can customize frames by picking your preferred type of lenses, and try on frames virtually or in-person at home before buying them.
Honeylove CloudEmbrace Bra
Honeylove’s CloudEmbrace Bra is the brand’s first wireless bra with built-in memory foam pads that are anchored to the cups — it got rid of the removable cups that always shifted around and fell out in the wash, says Malin, who’s worn Honeylove’s bras for over a year. The CloudEmbrace, a wireless T-shirt bra, also has wings that smooth the sides of your chest to help create a rounded shape and prevent bulging. You can customize its fit with the adjustable straps and band.
“I’ve been wearing the CloudEmbrace Bra for about two weeks, and despite how much I love Honeylove’s other wireless bras, this one shot to the top of my list of favorites after one wear,” says Malin, who says it fits true-to-size (the brand sent her a bra to try). “It has such effective lift and shaping, and it makes me look like I’m wearing an underwire bra. Plus, I actually enjoy wearing it —– it’s so comfortable and never presses into my skin, even when I have it on for over 10 hours.”
Kitchen launches
Ninja Swirl by Creami
Do you wish your Ninja Creami made soft serve ice cream? Now it can. One half of the Ninja Swirl is a typical Creami, while the other half is a soft serve machine. After you create your frozen treat, you can either remove the pint and eat it as is, or press the soft serve button, which essentially takes the mixture from the pint and pumps it into the other side of the machine. Then, you can pull the built-in lever, which has three speeds, and swirl the soft serve into a bowl or cone. The appliance has 13 standard frozen treat programs and six soft serve programs, including the ability to add mix-ins or toppings like sprinkles and chocolate chips.
Caraway Mini Bakeware and Food Storage
Caraway shrunk down some of its most popular bakeware and food storage containers so they take up less cabinet space and are more suitable for small kitchens. You can shop the minis in sets, like the Mini Food Storage Set and Mini Bakeware Set, or buy pieces individually, including a 6-cup muffin tin, a 13-by-9-inch sheet pan and snack-sized square and rectangular containers. The ceramic bakeware and cookware are dishwasher-safe, according to the brand.
Smeg Retro-Style Kitchen Scale
Like Smeg’s other kitchenware, this scale is a functional tool and a piece of decor. It has a dual needle dial and LED display, and it’s rechargeable — you can use it for up to about 36 hours before needing to recharge, and continue using it while it’s plugged in, according to the brand. The scale lets you toggle between four units of measurement, grams, milliliters, ounces and pounds, and it has a maximum capacity of 11 pounds or 7 cups. It comes with a dishwasher-safe stainless steel bowl to put ingredients in, but you can remove the bowl from the base to place items directly on the weighing plate.
Philips Air Fryer 3000 Single Basket
You can monitor your food’s progress as it cooks in Philips’ newest air fryer, which has a viewing window. The appliance is available in two sizes, 6.2 liters and 7.2 liters, and has 16 cooking settings, like air fryer, baking, defrosting, grilling and reheating. You can adjust its settings, including the timer and keep warm function, using the touchscreen. The cooking basket has a nonstick coating and is dishwasher-safe.
Home launches
Dyson Car+Boat Handheld Vacuum Cleaner
The new Car+Boat vacuum is the brand’s most affordable vacuum and second handheld-only model, the first being the Dyson Humdinger. The biggest upgrade is its long run time: up to 50 minutes (on its lowest power setting), double that of the Humdinger. Like most Dyson vacuums, it comes with a few attachments, including the main motorized barrhead, long crevice tool and wide-nozzled combination tool brush.
Coway Airmega 350 and 450
Coway’s Airmega air purifiers are some of the best options on the market, and its latest models have a new filtration system that makes them quieter and more efficient at capturing allergens, bacteria, mold and viruses, according to the brand. The Airmega 350 filters all the air in rooms up 2,640 square feet once an hour, and the Airmega 450 does the same for rooms up to 3,283 square feet. Both air purifiers have 3-in-1 filters that include a carbon filter and a HEPA filter, plus you can add custom filters, including those specifically designed for unwanted odors, allergens and smoke. There’s a touchscreen panel on each device that lets you control them, and they have built-in air quality indicators — in auto mode, the devices adjust their purification level accordingly.
Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow
Coop Sleep Goods expanded its pillow collection with this adjustable model, which has latex fiber filling you can add or subtract to find your ideal feel. The filling is more breathable than memory foam, plus it retains less heat so you stay cooler while sleeping, according to the brand. It’s also on the firmer side and quickly bounces back to its original shape, giving you consistent head and neck support, according to Coop Sleep Goods. The pillow has a soft, machine-washable cover, and it comes in queen and king sizes.
