10 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From Caraway to Cold Picnic

For this week’s “Don’t Dillydally,” we’ve surfaced a range of new things we’re sure will sell out, including Cold Picnic’s first-ever washable rug, a nice-smelling hand sanitizer with K-pop–royalty clout, and nail polish inspired by a Jewish deli.

If you don’t have a salt cellar on your counter, are you even a cook? Material Kitchen just introduced a spherical wooden one that, like so many of the brand’s other products, is both chic and thoughtfully designed. It comes with a fluted stand and has a swivel top that magnetizes shut to keep dust and debris out.

Our collective hand-sanitizer fervor might have died down in the past couple of years — but there’s reason to stock up once again. K-pop sensation Blackpink has partnered with personal-care brand Touchland to create an actually great-smelling sanitizer mist with notes of lemon, rose petal, and sandalwood. There’s aloe vera in it too, so the formula won’t dry out your skin.

Cold Picnic’s graphic and whimsical rugs first made a splash a few years ago and can be seen adorning the floors of many cool peoples’ homes to this day. The brand’s latest collection is made from machine-washable cotton meant to wear in and soften with each cleaning. There are four geometric designs to choose from, each inspired by a different essay in M.F.K. Fisher’s How to Cook a Wolf.

Tan France may not be Queer Eye’s resident chef, but he knows a thing or two about style. For a recent collaboration with cookware company Caraway, he put together a set of some of the brand’s signature pieces (a Dutch oven, sauté pan, saucepan, and fry pan) in cream, mossy green, and blush.

Laura Vassar, co-founder of the women’s clothing line Brock Collection, has designed a luxury capsule with Reformation made from such fabrics as crinkled silk. The 17-style range includes both super-flowy and more structured dresses, skirts, and tops, like a white eyelet blouse perfect for a casual vacation night out or a floral maxi to dress up for a summer wedding.

Our Place is making a foray into the appliance market with the release of a combination steam toaster oven and air fryer that’s poised to become as Instagram famous as the brand’s Always Pan. With claims that it preheats 75 percent faster and cooks up to 30 percent faster than traditional ovens, this countertop model comes in four matte colors (tan, blue, charcoal, and a limited-edition salmon), making it more fun looking than the mostly stainless-steel options otherwise available.

If you need a good travel bag, look no further than the newest release from Strategist-favorite brand Paravel (no, really, we love its stuff). This stylish canvas tote with leather details has a band for slipping over your carry-on handle, a removable shoulder strap, an interior pocket to keep essentials within easy reach, and a top hook to ensure nothing falls out. Keep an eye out for a few more new releases from Paravel later this month.

The Barbie-inspired collections are still coming. This one by hair-care brand Kitsch features satin pillowcases and scrunchies, multiple claw clips (including one with rhinestones), and a heatless curling set. They’re all in shades of Barbie’s signature pink, along with some blues (in honor of her Malibu persona) thrown in for good measure.

We love Burrow’s sofas because they’re smartly designed, comfortable, and easy as can be to put together. Their first queen-size sleeper sofa has a memory-foam interior so it’s actually comfortable (no small feat when dealing with pullout couches) and comes in two neutral colors — gray and navy — to fit nicely into any décor.

In a collaboration we didn’t see coming, Tenoverten teamed up with Edith’s, a Jewish-inspired sandwich counter in Brooklyn, to make a nail-polish set. This trio features metallic shades inspired by some of the restaurant’s most popular foods: a dark-green “dill,” a pearly-white “bagel,” and a deep copper reminiscent of Edith’s Instagram-famous tahini slushie. If you live in New York City, you can order the polish through Seamless — worth it for the novelty alone.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
