For this week’s “Don’t DillyDally,” we’ve surfaced a range of new things we’re sure will sell out, including a menstrual-cup steamer several Strategist staffers are excited to get their hands on, a non-Barbie drop from Mattel, and archival Diptyque candles that will be off the market in a few days.
New York–based streetwear brand Only NY (check out its line of merch with this very magazine) has teamed up with dog-biscuit company Milk-Bone to make accessories for your pooch (and you). You can buy a graphic dog-bone-studded collar and matching leash, plus a couple of strapped packs to take with you on walks (one sized specifically for holding waste bags, another for stashing away essentials).
The tinned-fish train keeps rolling with Fishwife’s newest launch: hand-cut, cured, and slowly smoked mackerel from the Northeast Atlantic, packed in Spanish olive oil infused with chiles and garlic. And while we won’t bore you with a girl-dinner reference, we will tell you that you’d be wise to keep the three-pack around for party snacks and quick lunches.
We’ve written about Youthforia’s beauty products before (see beauty writer Rio Viera-Newton’s glowing review of its blush). Now, the brand has released a tinted combination serum and foundation in 15 different shades. It’s meant to provide medium coverage but still be weightless and nourishing enough to sleep in.
Beauty brand Merit’s latest product (Viera-Newton is a fan of its highlighter) is a cream-to-powder shadow available in four neutral colors (cool taupe, warm beige, warm brown, and deep brown) and four statement shades (soft mauve, warm green, soft gray, and classic navy). They’re buildable so you can go subtle or dramatic, applying with your finger or its also newly released eye-shadow brush.
Saalt, maker of reusable period products, has come out with a steamer for its much-beloved menstrual cups and discs — news that several Strategist staffers are very excited about. Normally, to sanitize, you have to boil the pieces in water, but this portable vessel allows you to clean on the go (or just not bother with the hassle of pulling out a pot and turning on your stove).
Cookware brand Material Kitchen has (finally!) added a stainless-steel fish spatula to its Strategist-approved selection of kitchen utensils. It’s as sleekly designed as every other piece it comes out with, featuring a razor-thin edge so you can easily maneuver it under foods and wide slots so any excess oil will drip right off.
Real Diptyque heads (a.k.a. subscribers to the brand’s newsletter) know the powers that be have just opened up their archives for a very limited time — but anyone can access and buy former scents and artist collaborations until Monday. Snag classic scents like Baies or Citronnelle (timely!), or opt for holiday specials like candles in Ugo Gattoni–designed jars before they’re locked back up in the vault.
Reese Blutstein, an Atlanta-based influencer known for her distinctive vintage-contemporary aesthetic, is the latest partner in Target’s Future Collective series. The collection is made up of mostly neutral staples like this pleated khaki midi skirt, a long-sleeved denim dress, and a black zip cardigan — but there are some louder pieces, too, like a boxy green-and-blue-striped button-down and a bright-yellow faux-leather handbag.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
