Glossier, makers of makeup for people who already look good or those aspiring to look like the former, is having their highly-anticipated Black Friday sale. The brand rarely discounts their products — in fact, Black Friday is famously their only sale of the year — so there’s plenty of reason to shop now — whether it’s to stock up on Boy Brow or a few shades of Cloud Paint. In addition to offering a sitewide discount of 25 percent, this year, Glossier is also offering a bunch of Black Friday–exclusive sets, which are bundles of some of their bestselling products (and lots of our favorites). So whether you’ve yet to try the brand, or if you want to stock up on favorites — like Glossier FutureDew and Lash Slick — don’t dilly dally because today’s the last day of their annual sale. (If not for you, then for the teen in your life; Glossier also makes a very good holiday gift.) And once you’ve shopped the sale, see the best of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, here.
We suspect that this set, which includes crowd-favorites (Boy Brow, Balm Dotcom, Milky Jelly Cleanser, and the covetable Glossier hoodie), will go quickly. Balm Dotcom is a perennial Strat favorite and beloved by everyone from Rio to cool teens. The magic is in the formula, which is thick but not too greasy, and comes in a wide range of flavors.
The Finishing Touches Set consists of things we’ve written about before at the Strategist like Glossier You, which Rio described as “warm, woody, and clean with almost no floral or fruity notes.” It’s formulated to smell like “you, but better,” and has notes of musk, ambrette, and sparkling pink pepper. The set also includes Cloud Paint and Lash Slick, another Rio favorite that won’t smudge or flake and is easy to remove.
Skin-care fans will like the Perfect Canvas Set, which comes with four Glossier products — Super Bounce (a hyaluronic acid serum), Priming Moisturizer, Perfecting Skin Tint, and Balm Dotcom — for just $55. For context, if you were to buy all of the products separately, without the discount, it would run you $88, making this a very good deal.
Cloud Paint is one of those multitasking beauty products that works for just about everyone, because there are very few ways to mess it up. It has a near-endless amount of placement options (cheeks! eyes! lips!), and best of all, can be easily applied with your fingers. The gel-cream consistency makes it easy to achieve a soft, diffused wash of color, and unlike lots of other cream formulas, it actually stays on. Cloud paint comes in eight sunset-colored shades that you can mix together to create a bespoke color or wear on its own.
Future Dew has become a beloved member of the Glossier lineup, thanks to its ability to make skin look lit from within without glitter or greasy-looking shine. It’s also one of the most versatile, because it can be applied all over or wherever you want a little pop of shine.
Glossier recently expanded their offerings with this orange-blossom scented dry oil mist that contains a blend of antioxidant-rich sunflower, and grape-seed and oat oils, which help to nourish and moisturize dry skin. Unlike other body oils, which require ample time to dry and soak into the skin, this one melts in almost immediately and doesn’t leave a sticky residue behind.
Formulated to make it look like you have lash extensions in just a few swipes, this mascara coats lashes from root to tip with little fibers that are locked into place with flexible polymers. It’s lengthening, curling, and sculpting, and won’t flake or smudge.
Glossier’s lip gloss is incredibly shiny (all you need is one swipe per lip) and packed with nourishing ingredients like jojoba and vitamin E, which help keep lips soft and moisturized. All three shades are on sale, including holographic, which has an opalescent shimmer that gives us big ’90-mall vibes.
This highlighting stick comes in three shimmering shades, imparts skin with a dewy but not glittery sheen, and has a balmy center for an extra dose of hydration. Rio reportedly can’t live without it, and wears it all over her face. “When it comes to daytime makeup, this product is one of my go-tos and certainly one of my most-used ‘natural’ highlighters,” she says.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
