These Ski Bunny Sorels Are 40 Percent Off

I’ve interviewed numerous outdoor-footwear designers about which winter shoes to buy and avoid, and Sorel is a brand that gets a lot of praise. These faux-fur-trimmed ones look cute (very Kendall and Hailey doing après in Aspen) but are also practical. They’re made from rubber, which is the best material for waterproofing, with suede uppers and a plush lining inside. At 40 percent off right now, I’d recommend them as an investment for the rest of this (rather long, cold) winter and snow seasons beyond.

Strategist senior editor Hilary Reid tried on a pair of these when they caught her eye at the Kittery Trading Post in Maine last weekend: “Mostly because they looked like something you could wear with regular pants to work on a snowy day and not spend the whole day feeling like you’re lugging around boots.” She reports that the fur was supersoft and they felt cozy and comfortable when she slipped her feet inside: “Plus, the laces felt very secure around the ankles.” Important!
