Nearby Winter Park takes its cues from New York, complete with its own Park Avenue anchoring downtown and even a Central Park. There’s plenty to see within�rose and azalea gardens, a pontoon boat tour, a botanical garden with wetlands�but fans of dandyish pursuits shouldn’t shy away from the park’s country club: It’s actually open to the public and offers croquet supplies for use on the ample lawns.
