Great mountains of fire, hailstorms and intense, burning heat… these are signs of the biblical end times. But it’s 2024 and Christians aren’t the only ones worrying about the end of the world. Evangelical Christians – the biggest religious group in the U.S. – are the most likely of all major U.S. religious groups to doubt human-caused climate change. But a growing faction of evangelical Christians across the country are pushing for global action against climate change and environmental pollution — driven by their mission to protect God’s creation. As election day approaches, they are urging their fellow Christians to step up… but will the larger evangelical community embrace their goals?
