Peconic Bay Yacht Club

On the North Fork in Long Island wine country, two and a half hours from the city, the Peconic Bay Yacht Club provides a picturesque site for couples in search of a waterfront wedding. The club offers spaces to fit parties of all sizes, whether it’s an intimate affair on the terrace overlooking the water, or a tented event for up to 350 guests on the grassy point right on the bay. Catering provided by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs starts at $220 per person. Space-rental prices by request.

Per Se

Even the most well-versed gastronomes still flip for Per Se, where renowned chef Thomas Keller crafts American contemporary cuisine using French techniques. The private West Room here can accommodate up to 66 guests for an elaborate seated dinner and 120 guests for a standing reception, with full buy outs available. Prices upon request.

Pier Sixty and the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers

These airy West Side event spaces feature floor-to-ceiling windows with gorgeous views of the Hudson River, and enormous, enclosed cocktail terraces. One hundred to 300 guests can be accommodated indoors for a sit-down dinner at the Lighthouse, while the Current seats 75 to 220, and Pier Sixty can accommodate up to 850 for cocktails. Catering is by Abigail Kirsch and starts at $155 per person. No outside catering, except kosher and Indian.

Porterhouse New York

Chef Michael Lomonaco’s classic New York steakhouse offers seating for up to 60 in the Vintage Room; for larger gatherings, the entire restaurant can be booked to take in the sweeping views of Central Park West, with seating for approximately 250. Lomonaco’s team customizes each event from a menu of American fare featuring premium seafood and raw-bar offerings, aged prime beef hand-cut on-site daily, and classic salads and sides. Prices upon request.

Pratt Mansions Fifth Avenue

Three historic Beaux-Arts mansions make up this venue, which is a New York City landmark. It offers a selection of antique-furnished salons on two floors, plus a circular marble staircase perfect for the grand bridal entrance. Up to 150 can be seated for a dinner catered by one of the mansions’ approved vendors. From $6,000 to $8,000.

A Private Penthouse Affair

Located on the top floor of a historic building near Union Square, this bright, 8,000-square-foot space can hold up to 200 seated guests (with dancing). Twelve-foot-wide arched Palladian windows yield views that stretch from Wall Street to Times Square, and a stained-glass and oak-paneled bar completes the effect. From $120 to $160 per person for in-house catering, and $2,900 to $6,000 for space rental.

Public

This Michelin-starred restaurant in the heart of Nolita features a �free-spirited fusion� menu from chef Brad Farmerie and can host sit-down receptions for up to 120 guests. It can also handle ceremonies, with a lounge�cum�dressing room and a picture window looking onto the Elizabeth Street Garden. From $30,000, including catering.

Renaissance Event Hall

The 7,000-square-foot reception hall features neoclassic décor in shades of pale gold, with sweeping stairwells and balconies overlooking the dance floor. Kosher, halal, and other specialty cuisine is available from in-house caterers.

River Café

Couples who book this water’s-edge institution enjoy the bohemian romance of old Brooklyn without sacrificing a Manhattan-skyline backdrop. The venue’s popular Terrace Room is festooned in abundant greenery and features a footbridge over a small stream. The space opens up to an expansive view of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, and lower Manhattan. The intimate room can hold up to 110 guests (or up to 80 with a dance floor). From $225 to $395 per person.

Riverpark

Top Chef lead judge Tom Colicchio’s restaurant takes the farm-to-table craze literally, offering over 100 kinds of vegetables, fruits, and herbs from the adjacent 10,000-square-foot Riverpark Farm. Small receptions can be held in the stand-alone glass-walled-cube space, and the entire restaurant can be rented for larger parties (up to 500 guests). Prices upon request.

The Russian Tea Room

Founded by members of the Russian Imperial Ballet in 1927, this storied spot offers a modern Continental menu with a Russian influence and has three private rooms that can accommodate up to 300 people. Each one is exquisitely decked out in colored glass or intricate woodwork. Its cushy red-leather banquettes are unmistakable, and kitschy decorative touches, such as a bear-shaped aquarium, can be found throughout. Prices upon request.

632 on Hudson

This giant space was an abandoned sausage factory before the current owners transformed it into a mini-mansion decorated with Asian and Italian antiques. The ceremony usually takes place in the first-floor atrium, with the bride descending the grand staircase for a dramatic entrance. The triplex space can accommodate 150 guests. From $9,000 to $12,000 for 12-hour rentals.

620 Loft & Garden

This midtown penthouse features an outdoor garden with a fountain and views of the majestic St. Patrick’s Cathedral; the indoor loft looks out onto Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. The garden holds up to 96 seated guests for a ceremony, the loft up to 100 for a seated dinner (with dance floor) or 165 for cocktails. Prices upon request.

Sunset Terrace

With three walls of windows overlooking the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty, Sunset Terrace makes for a picture-perfect New York wedding. Packages include a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, and open bar and start at $130 per guest.

Terrace on the Park

A New York landmark perched above the trees of Flushing Meadows Park, this banquet hall played a prominent role in the 1964 New York World’s Fair. The ballroom and rooftop can accommodate hundreds of guests, who will enjoy 360-degree views of Manhattan and the park. Prices start at $85 per person.

Tribeca Rooftop

One of the most popular event spaces in Manhattan, this indoor-outdoor venue is usually booked for weekends a year in advance. The 15,000-square-foot skylight penthouse, with views of the Hudson River and the Empire State Building, seats up to 300 guests with dancing (or 340 without). Prices, which include a five-hour open bar, wedding cake, and dinner, are $230 to $320 per person.

The Water Club Restaurant

Spring and summer fêtes here are often on the outside deck with views of Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn as a backdrop. Cold-weather weddings are indoors on the upper deck, which seats up to 80 for dinner, or in the River Room, which holds as many as 180 for dinner and dancing. From $165 per person.
