Silk Teddy
Leftovers usually aren’t the most savory scraps, unless they’re pure silk and used to make downright stylish teddy bears, like these by Salvatore Ferragamo. Fashioned from remnants of the company’s discontinued scarves and ties, they are luxuriously soft and available in girl and boy versions ($205).

Croc Around the Clock
If your crocodile clutch just isn’t enough of a good thing, take the trend home. Literally. Penthouse A has created this crocodile sofa table, sized for even the smallest of spaces. It’s faux, of course, but truly fabulous in a classic shade of red that its designer, Charles McNutt, claims is a “color that people can incorporate into any interior, since it’s not as big a commitment as orange or pink.” The table also comes in chocolate brown and camel ($1,200).

Road Movies
Taking a holiday road trip with the kids? Dreading the drive? Video in a Bag is a transportable video system from Audiovox with a four-inch screen that hangs between the driver’s and the front passenger’s seats. It’s equipped with headphone jacks, so kids can be diverted for hours while the grown-ups argue over the best route ($399).

Festival of Lights
Hanukkah may be thousands of years old, but the Marla menorah, by Cec LePage, would look right at home alongside your collection of Cappellini furniture. LePage, who has designed candlesticks for the Museum of Modern Art and a perfume bottle for Karl Lagerfeld, incorporated Judaica into her home-furnishings line after repeated requests. The Marla is one of four menorahs LePage has designed; each is carved from Lucite, painted by hand, and available in dozens of colors ($218).

Air Cooled
Inspired by the retro-chic Pan Am logo, Dwell has launched a new line of bedding for those who lose sleep over flowery designs. Queen sets of 215-thread-count, Egyptian-combed-cotton sheets are taupe, light blue, and white-on-white and come in two geometric patterns that can be mixed and matched. Just close your eyes and imagine you’re boarding the Clipper to dreamland ($355 for set).
