When I got my first Exercise Dress in 2019, I was deeply skeptical because never have I ever thought, Wow, I’d love to work out in a dress. Three years later, I still wouldn’t describe it as a workout essential (except for a couple of rounds of tennis and a chill day hike or two), but the Exercise Dress has become a staple of my everyday wardrobe, especially during this gnarly heat wave we’ve been experiencing. It’s supportive without being clingy or constrictive, which is a fancy way of saying I don’t need to wear a bra with it. It’s comfortable to wear while walking the dog and wicks away my sweat as I huff and puff around, but it’s still cute enough to roll into happy-hour drinks with my fiancé. The material is hard to stain with coffee or wine (and easy to clean if you are accident-prone like me), and it even has built-in pockets that are roomy enough for my iPhone.
I now own four — two navy, one green, and one pink marble — and today, I am considering picking up a fifth Exercise Dress because every single color is on sale at Outdoor Voices for just $70. That’s the cheapest I’ve ever seen, with the widest selection of colors. (I’m partial to the classic black or the cutie checkerboard print, but really, you can’t go wrong with any of them.)
