The “Goldilocks of Jeans” Is the Cheapest We’ve Ever Seen It

The “Goldilocks of jeans” is a title we don’t bestow lightly — but in our eyes, Levi’s Ribcage jeans have more than earned it, thanks to their high-waisted vintage look, which you don’t have to scour a secondhand bin to find. And right now, you can get them for the only-at-a-thrift-store price of $21 during the brand’s Warehouse Event. It’s a truly excellent deal — their original cost was $108 — and it’s definitely the cheapest we’ve seen them in recent memory.

The Ribcage jeans feature a rise of 12 inches — Levi’s highest — which makes them “deliriously high, easily clearing my belly button,” according to Strategist editor Maxine Builder. “When these Ribcage jeans become the new Wedgies, don’t say I didn’t warn you,” she jokes. New York deputy editor Alexis Swerdloff praises their comfort, calling them “stiff without being too constricting” because they do still have a little bit of stretch. You can choose between a 27- (perfect for petites) or 29-inch inseam, and they’re available in sizes 23 through 33. At this price, you might even want to add multiples to your cart. (One of our favorite pairs of jeans for men, the 511s, are similarly marked down as part of the Warehouse Event; just note that if you want to shop the full sale, you’ll need to sign up with your email address for access.)

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
