It’s the second day of Amazon Prime Day, and like yesterday, it’s a great time to buy a vacuum. Many of our best-in-class picks remain on sale, from upright vacuums to carpet cleaners to robot-mop/vacuum combos. If you’re eyeing a fancy vacuum that will vastly improve your life, like a Miele or the very smart Roomba j7+, it’s a good time to buy. (The Roomba is an incredible 50 percent off, the best deal we’ve ever seen.) There are also great deals on some tried-and-true items, like a lightweight stick vacuum for under $50, everyone’s favorite portable carpet cleaner, and an affordable steam mop that will get your tile floors spotless.

I’ll be checking this post throughout the day, but if you see something you like, act fast. The sale ends tonight, and the best deals are often the quickest to sell out. You may have to wait until the next big sale day to see that price again. (I also recommend the price-tracking site CamelCamelCamel; you can sign up for email alerts when an item drops below the price you specify.) And for more great deals on everything from skin care to kitchen appliances, check out our Prime Day hub. Remember: You must have an Amazon Prime membership to take advantage of these discounts. The Deals I Personally Think Are the Best

A TikTok-favorite mop bucket that streamlines deep-cleaning your floors, the best price I’ve ever seen on the Roomba j7+, and a great deal on everyone’s favorite upholstery cleaner.

Vacuums

Shark Navigator Lift-Away
$146
$146

If you buy just one vacuum, the Shark Navigator Lift-Away is a great option. It can handle hardwood floors and carpets — and it detaches into a handheld vacuum.

The original handheld vacuum and a Strategist best seller, you can’t go wrong with the Black+Decker Dustbuster. It comes with a ton of useful accessories and design features, like a rotating nozzle and a crevice tool.

It’s on the heavier side, but this Bissell vacuum is a great option if you’re regularly cleaning up a lot of pet hair — and at $142, it’s the best price we’ve ever seen. It has a HEPA filter and a cleverly designed anti-tangle brush roll, which means less time unsnarling hair and debris caught in the bristles.

Bissell also makes the FeatherWeight, a cheaper but still capable vacuum. Despite its lightweight frame, it has powerful suction that will un-Velcro fur from carpet.

A favorite among cleaning experts, Miele’s C2 canister vacuum will change your relationship with cleaning. (Many Miele owners have had theirs for decades.)

Here’s a less expensive canister vacuum from Bissell — it scores high for maneuverability and its great value. “If you’re looking for a vacuum that packs a punch and is under $100, this is a go-to,” says Sarah McAllister, founder of the cleaning site Bleach, Pray, Love. “All of my staff carry them.”

$176

The Shark Pet is a cordless vacuum that “picked up an astonishing amount of dust and hair,” per our review. It’s powerful, easy to maneuver, and thoughtfully designed, and has a HEPA filter for trapping allergens.

Here’s another great vacuum for pet owners. It comes recommended by Shelby Semel, a canine-behavior expert and the owner of a Samoyed that sheds “basically pounds of hair a month.”

Upholstery and carpet cleaners

The Bissell Little Green always goes on sale on Amazon Prime Day, and it’s always a great deal. Your couches and rugs will thank you.

The Bissell ProHeat is our best-in-class carpet cleaner, recommended again and again by cleaning experts. (Strategist contributor Stacey Dee Woods once wrote that “buying the Bissell Proheat 2x Lift Off was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”) It uses both a cleaning solution and heat to lift even the most deep-set stains.

This carpet cleaner uses motion sensing to dispense cleaning solution when it moves forward and suck it back up when you roll it backward, a time-saving feature you’ll be grateful for when you deep clean your carpet.

This is a really solid steam cleaner I first learned about from Kadi Dulude, owner of Wizard of Homes — it’s a great way to clean your carpets, floors, oven, bathtub, and more without chemicals. It’s great value at 20 percent off today.

Wet/dry vacuums

$300

This is the rare vacuum that can handle both wet and dry messes equally well. (Our tester tried it on a cereal-milk spill, which it sucked up with no problems.) It has “superior suction,” sensors to automatically adjust power, and — best of all — a self-cleaning mode, which saves time and mess.

This is our favorite affordable wet-dry vacuum, and it’s at its lowest price ever during Prime Day. The CrossWave is easy to set up and gracefully cleared the aftermath of our tester’s family barbecue.

For heavier-duty messes, our tester loves the Shark MessMaster. It’s essentially a mini Shop-Vac, but “the power is unparalleled.” It can handle both dry and wet messes and sucked up clods of dirt, sand, gravel, plus a toddler-dinner mess of ravioli and orange slices.

The best wet/dry vacuum, according to a Michigan prepper. It’s very powerful, at 6.5 peak horsepower, and comes with plenty of accessories.

Robot vacuums

The Roomba j7+ is our best-in-class robot vacuum — it scores high for smart mapping, dual brushes that “dig up even tough-to-grab things like pet fur,” and user-replaceable parts. Today, it’s 50 percent off, the best price we’ve ever seen.

Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S Max
$150
$150

I’ve been using this Eufy vacuum for the past three years, and though it doesn’t have many bells and whistles (it navigates your space not via cameras, like higher-tech models, but by bumping into stuff), it’s a really solid option if you don’t want to spend $400 on a robot vacuum.

Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
$765
$765

If you really want to splurge on a highly reliable robot vacuum–mop combo, the Ecovacs X2 Omni is the top pick of Strategist tech writer (and floor-cleaning perfectionist) Jordan McMahon. “No robot vacuum has mopped my floors as well as this one,” he says.

Mops

Shark S3501 Steam Pocket Mop
$60
$60

Shark’s steam mop is a perennial Strategist favorite, perfect for getting stubborn grime off tile or laminate floors. (Just avoid using it on hardwood floors, which don’t handle steam well.)

A TikTok-favorite mop bucket for finally getting around to deep-cleaning your floors.
