What Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Erika Jayne Can’t Live Without

If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair, but the hand sanitizer and the electric toothbrush. We asked Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne, whose Erika Jayne x Erika Girardi collection is now available at Shoedazzle, about the track jacket, lip balm, and backpack she can’t live without.

If I’m on the plane, I insist on being comfortable. I don’t believe in getting dressed up to fly. There’s no reason for that, especially when it’s 16 hours to fly internationally. I’m usually in Air Force Ones and an Adidas tracksuit. I don’t even know how many I have. I have them in grey and burgundy and black and mint and white and all-black and floral. I have track shorts. I have them in different weights. Usually, I like to wear the jacket and pants together so it’s a matching suit, though if it’s a floral, I might break that up.

If you have long hair that gets styled all the time, or if you’re dancing and working out, dry shampoo is essential because you don’t want to wash your hair every day. On the second or third day after you shampoo, your hair can get a bit grimy from going to the gym or just from life in general, but I’ve tried every dry shampoo around the block, and Klorane is the best. It’ll lighten my roots a little bit, plus it smells good and brushes out easily, too.

Wolford is obviously one of the best lingerie brands, and though I do have a baby pink bra I like sometimes, mostly I’m in my black Wolford bra. It creates a lot of support, and it’s well-made so you don’t have to worry about wearing it out. How long does it last? Well, I wouldn’t know because I have a lot of lingerie, and I’m always cycling through all of them, but this would be my one go-to bra.

I’m a traditional Nike person and it doesn’t get any more classic than these. You can wear them with shorts or tights or with a tracksuit, and there is never an occasion — or okay, there are obviously some occasions — when they wouldn’t work. And the all-white just looks so clean. Nobody wants to walk around with dingy sneakers. I have a few pairs that have gotten some wear, but the crisp white ones are the best.

I use this daily on my lips and sometimes on cuticles, my hands, feet, and even on the elbows. When I lived in New York, I used to use Carmex a lot, but Aquaphor’s sort of overtaken it now. It’s on my bedside and what I like to do is put on a little bit under my lipstick because it wears well.

These leggings are thick enough to make you feel covered up and supported, but thin enough that you’re not uncomfortable. There are zippers at the ankles so you can wear them with pumps or boots or sneakers — you can wear them any which way, even with a blazer.

Blondes know. This shampoo is essential for keeping your hair pale and icy-colored instead of yellow or brassy. I use it about once a week to keep the color neutral.

This is the fabric Prada backpack and not the nylon one! I lived in New York from 1989 to 1996, and I feel like I just got used to carrying everything around. I’m a backpack girl — I have a hundred backpacks, but this one just screams out to me for most days. I just think it’s the most universally versatile. It goes with everything. Plus, I like the size. I have backpacks that are too small so I can barely bring anything around, and the ones that are too big I’m not using every day.

I designed this line, and I know that people might be wondering if I actually wear them, but I really do. I designed them, so of course they’re cool! I think they’re great for Erika Girardi [Jayne’s civilian name] or for Erika Jayne — you can wear them to work and then out to the club with your girlfriends. I designed them to be high, 120 mm, which is about 4.7 inches. I like the 120 so your ass is high.
