Levi’s Famous 501s Are 30 Percent Off

Levi’s 501s are the jeans that started it all, and with so much storied history, it’s no wonder the style is highly sought after in vintage shops. But the pioneering denim brand makes a modern 501 that’s true to the original — straight-leg, non-stretch, and with the traditional button fly — for those who don’t want to sift through a thrift bin. And right now is a good time to add a new pair to your closet: Levi’s has them discounted by 30 percent as part of its sitewide sale, which runs through March 14. That brings the price down from $98 to $69 at checkout. You can get 501s in sizes 23 through 34 and inseams of 28, 30, or 32 inches — one of the broadest ranges I’ve seen during my time as The Strategist’s denim correspondent. They’ll need some breaking in since they don’t have any stretch (according to stylist Karla Welch, who’s been wearing 501s since she was a tween, the “trick” is simply “wearing them, and wearing them, and wearing them, and wearing them”). But your reward will be that the jeans get better and better over time.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
