If You Buy One Thing Today, Make It the (48 Percent-Off) Nespresso Machine

Macy’s has been going hard on its Cyber Monday kitchen deals, like this 4-quart Staub Dutch oven, on sale now for just $100, or a J.A. Henckels 10-piece knife set that’s 58 percent off. But, for my money, the best Cyber Monday deal is on a Nespresso machine — namely the Nespresso Pixie, a perennial Strategist holiday favorite. Back in 2016, Grub Street editor Alan Sytsma raved that “no sort of present I’ve ever given has been more joyfully received than the Nespresso machines I’ve gifted over the years.” This sleek aluminum-and-black model is in his kitchen as well as that of his parents, who “quickly became obsessed. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was all they could talk about for a while.” And for Cyber Monday, this much-loved Nespresso machine is on sale for just under $150, which is 48 percent off the list price.

If you’d like to give a gift set, you can also get the Pixie Espresso Machine with a Nespresso milk frother.

However, if you’re looking for a Nespresso machine for less than $100, or are buying a gift for a more design-conscious coffee consumer, there are plenty of other options on sale at Macy’s right now, too. Here are some of my favorites.

This is the Nespresso machine I have on the kitchen counter in my tiny New York City apartment, and it’s a stylish gift for those with minimal storage space, or who are looking to spend under $100 on a gift. (And because it’s using the exact same pods as the larger, fancier-looking machines, the espresso still tastes great.)

This CitiZ Espresso Machine is bigger than the Essenza, with a water tank that’s almost one third larger and a container that holds ten used capsules (as compared to the Essenza’s five or six). But it’s got the same sleek, minimalist style.

This Nespresso machine uses the slightly larger Nespresso Vertuo capsules, which allow you to make coffee and extra-long shots, in addition to smaller espresso shots.

For those who prefer lattes and cappuccinos to straight shots of espresso, this De’Longhi Lattissima machine has a built-in milk frother.

This is an espresso machine for real coffee snobs, those who would like to steam their own milk, and it’s pretty high-powered, heating up in just three seconds.

Part of the novelty of this KitchenAid Nespresso machine is the lever, which is used to start the brewing process instead of the typical light-up button.

Or, if they already have a Nespresso machine they’re obsessed with, give them this next-generation milk frother (which is available at an additional 10 percent off when you use the code CYBER at checkout).
