For this week’s Don’t Dillydally, we’ve rounded up a range of newly released products we’re particularly excited about, including a skirt printed with Tilda Swinton’s face, a once limited-edition cream blush that’s now here to stay, and Quince jeans that are even cheaper than Levi’s.
Fourteen years ago, Alexa Chung collaborated with Madewell on a capsule collection — and now she’s back. This one has a sophisticated and streamlined look, featuring mostly denim (pants, button-up shirts, skirts, and more) as well as several pieces in a very nice chocolate-brown suede, like this A-line miniskirt I would like to add to my cart.
I don’t want to be the one to point out that winter is coming, but winter is coming. To prepare, Kiehl’s added a new product to its popular Ultra line: a luscious body cream formulated with squalane and glacial glycoprotein to be super-hydrating. The brand says it’s gentle enough to be used on sensitive skin.
Sézane is French-girl fashion incarnate — and for the first time, the brand is making clothes for kids. The collection is quite big and includes knits, blouses, trousers, jackets, shoes, and more. Some designs are all new; others feature fabric or styles as seen on adult-size versions, like the little Céleste Dress that takes a page from the Chlo Shirt.
Speaking of colder weather, Lola Blankets released its signature blanket (which we’ve recommended before) in several new warm hues. You can tell how plush this thing is through the screen.
Quince, which slowly but surely seems to be stacking its lineup to be as all-encompassing as a department store, just launched denim last week. The four styles of jeans (mid-rise slim straight, high-rise straight, high-rise skinny, and high-rise kick flare) each comes in three different washes. And, like everything else from Quince, they retail for far less than you might expect: just $50.
Our very favorite silicone earplugs also have new shades for a new season: Sugar plum, golden hour, and denim dream are available in all the brand’s styles (except for Switch and Engage Kids).
The latest flavor of Olipop is Ridge Rush, a citrusy lemon-lime take on Mountain Dew. It’s caffeinated from green tea — good for midday slumps.
And in more drinks news: Ghia’s newest nonalcoholic beverage is a large-format bubbly in a strawberry-orange blossom flavor. It is giving pét-nat and comes sealed in a wine bottle, with natural tannins from berries and citrus. You can buy a pack of two or a case of six.
Filson’s debut women’s collection is here, consisting of 32 styles inspired by the American West. There are plaid wool overshirts, waxed-canvas jackets, flannel shirts (in more plaid), and twill bags.
British clothing brand Hades has launched a capsule collection designed with none other than Tilda Swinton (who has been a longtime wearer of the brand). The nine pieces, which number skirts, scarves, and cardigans, are inspired by Swinton herself as well as by four movies from her filmography: Female Perversions, The Last of England, Orlando, and Suspiria.
Tower28 originally released this bright red shade of its blush as a limited-edition buy, but it was so popular, it just brought it back for good. It’s a buildable pigmented cream you can swipe onto your cheeks and lips — a favorite of professional makeup artists because it’s so easy to blend and results in a dewy finish.
Designer Christopher John Rogers is making his first foray into accessories. Created in collaboration with Austrian eyewear-maker Andy Wolf, the oversize geometric frames come in red, black, white, and an ombré brown. The glasses are available for preorder.
