Vitamix’s blender reputation is so unanimously positive, I’d encourage you to buy one even at full price. So that means when they go on sale, it’s a no-brainer. Yes, it can still feel pricey to drop a couple hundred dollars on an appliance, but let me assure you: It’s worth it. These are all machines that will last you decades (with long warranties and great customer service to back that up). They all have incredibly sharp blades, powerful motors, and basins that you can clean in the dishwasher. And I’ve never heard anyone say they regret buying a Vitamix.
There are quite a few models marked down for Prime Day (not to mention its super-powerful immersion blender, which I have and love). But this particular one, the E310 Explorian, is both the cheapest offering the brand has right now (that’s not refurbished) and the machine that multiple professional cooks have recommended to me. It’s fully manual, allowing you to change speed via a dial at the front (as opposed to a touchscreen, which some other units have). There are no automatic preset functions for specific tasks, like iced drinks or soup — but that can actually be a plus. Not only is it straightforward to use (a feature I always look for when it comes to kitchen gear), but culinary artist Maryah Ananda, who uses hers every day, says the manual functionality allows her to pulse to control texture if she wants a chunkier soup or sauce. Still, if she wants seamless emulsification, “the strength is unmatched,” she says.
