Parents of students at P.S. 243 in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, are shocked over the arrest of 40-year-old teacher’s aide Taleek Brooks after federal agents discovered videos that showed him engaging in sexual acts with students, possibly at the school, according to law enforcement officials. The videos were discovered in a trove of Brooks’s shared computer files that led to a charge last month for possessing and distributing child pornography. Brooks reportedly had “unfettered access” to children through after-school activities and often had a video camera in his hand. “These kids would change in front of him,” a community advocate said. “These kids were in love with this guy.”
