A letter that was sent to the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development but addressed to Mayor Bloomberg and another letter sent to Mayors Against Illegal Guns — the Bloomberg-led gun-control group — in Washington have both tested positive for ricin, the Times reports. It appears that nobody, including Mayor Bloomberg, was harmed by the letters. And no, it almost definitely wasn’t the same guy who is suspected of sending those ricin-laced letters across D.C. in April, since he was arrested a month ago. Ricin is just a very popular (and easy to produce) thing to send to people you don’t like these days.
