This afternoon, White House Senior Advisor Dan Pfeiffer sent out an email about the president’s three-day swing through Colorado and Texas, but failed mention the only significant detail: While in Denver, the president met a guy wearing a horse-head mask. Obama is fond of declaring “the bear is loose!” whenever he ventures out of the White House to mingle with ordinary Americans (Pfeiffer says it’s a joke from the campaign), but after this we wouldn’t be surprised if the bear crawled back into his cage.

According to a pool report, “One onlooker wore a large horse head, but it’s unclear what message he hoped to convey.” At least Hillary Clinton’s squirrel-suit stalker was clear about his political agenda.
