A second man has been arrested in connection with a Saturday night clash between protesters and cops. Robert Murray, a 43-year-old union organizer, turned himself in at the fift-precinct station house on Thursday morning. The police had been looking for Murray since Monday evening, when they released a video that allegedly shows him and several other people attacking NYPD lieutenants Philip Chan and Patrick Sullivan on the Brooklyn Bridge during this weekend’s Millions March. Twenty-nine-year-old Eric Linsker was arrested just a few hours after the incident, and the cops are still searching for six other suspects.
Murray is accused of twice punching Chan in the face. (Chan reportedly suffered a broken nose.) CBS 2 reports that Murray has been charged with “assaulting an officer, rioting, obstruction, escape, and obstruction of governmental administration.” He’s expected to be arraigned sometime on Friday.
