If you want to make fun of the Mets’ lack of moves this off-season and their apparent lack of a plan, that is fine: pile on, everybody’s doing it. But do not make fun of their signing of R.A. Dickey yesterday. A world without knuckleballers would be a barren world indeed. Knuckleballers rule. Our recommendation: Trade for the Dodgers’ Charlie Haeger and the Red Sox’s Tim Wakefield. What, you wouldn’t go watch a team with three knuckleballers and Johan Santana in the rotation? Seriously, that would rule.
