Roger Clemens Pleads Not Guilty

Roger Clemens pleaded not guilty this afternoon to charges that he lied to Congress in 2008 when he testified that he’d never used steroids or human growth hormone. Clemens will be allowed to travel only within the country — luckily for Clemens and his wife, Myrtle Beach and its Golf.com World Amateur Handicap Championship are within the country — and he faces up to 30 years if convicted on all six charges, though under U.S. sentencing guidelines, he would likely serve no more than 15 to 21 months. Jury selection for the trial begins April 5. [NYT, ESPN]
