Compared to the HBO cameras and superstar holdout over at the Jets’ training camp, Giants camp in Albany has been pretty uneventful thus far. (Not that there’s anything wrong with uneventful.) Case in point: Here’s a story about how Steve Smith isn’t holding out and would never consider doing so, despite coming off the first Pro Bowl season for a Giants receiver since 1968 and earning a paltry $550,000 on his rookie contract. Other odds and ends from Giants camp: Jason Pierre-Paul appears to know his place as a rookie, Ahmad Bradshaw is testing out his surgically repaired feet — with promising results (actually, that’s pretty important) — and Michael Johnson talked some smack about Carolina Panther Steve Smith, who says he plans on “going after” Johnson in Week 1 as retribution for a hit that broke Smith’s arm late last season.
