Back-to-school blues?
Actually, I’m taking this semester off. I moved here last summer and am teaching kids how to make robots out of Legos.

Where are you from?
I grew up in Queens, but we moved to South Carolina when I was in middle school. I was studying horticulture at a college there, but I transferred to La Guardia Community College.

So no more horticulture?
I want to try new things. But a part of me still really wants to be a farmer. I love eating vegetables that I’ve grown with my own hands. Who knows, maybe after I’m done soul-searching, I’ll go back to that. For now, I’m going to major in deaf studies.

Deaf studies?
I don’t know, I was just looking at the course catalogue, and that seemed interesting.

Do you know sign language?
No, but I guess I’ll learn!
