Where to sit: It’s a no-reservations hover-and-pounce situation for seating at one of the long communal wooden tables running the length of the heated outdoor biergarten area (the roof is retractable).
When to go: Radegast opens at 5 p.m. on weekdays, and tables fill quickly. Get there early to secure an area for your friends. On the weekends, it opens at one; perfect for a long, lazy daytime guzzling session.
Drink: Uh, beer. There are twelve different drafts, mostly German, and over 35 different bottled beers from all over Eastern Europe. The delicious smell of schnitzel and sausage, being made on a grill at one end of the outdoor space, will entice you to snack.
Who’s there: Hipsters from the hood and homesick Europeans mix to form a loud, jolly crowd. Warning: There’s some serious drunkenness, and occasionally people get up to dance on those communal tables. This usually happens after dark.
