Sometimes you get lucky when you’re out design hunting. My artist friend Kathryn Lynch recently told me about a great couple with a loft in Tribeca I just had to see. As we were walking up to the fourth floor, we passed by Paloma, age 2, and Beatrice, 4 months old, who were going down the stairs with their nanny, off on an excursion. The 2,000-square-foot loft the girls share with their parents, author-actor Anthony Crane and fashion photographer Amanda Pratt, certainly looks grown-up at first”especially this lovely sectional sofa, found at a Rago auction in Lambertville, New Jersey. But the apartment’s kid-friendliness soon revealed itself in unexpected ways. Photo: Wendy Goodman
