I had no idea that I would be visiting one of Milan’s great house museums (historic family villas and palazzos) when I went to see the Venini glass exhibit in the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi on Via Gesù. The Italian company famous for its Venetian handblown glass teamed up with the British company Established and Sons to create an exciting collection of new glass pieces in time for Venini’s 90th anniversary. It was hard to take my eyes off this incredible glass totem, even in the midst of the palazzo’s architectural splendor and Renaissance furnishings. Photo: Wendy Goodman
