Though we wished that the reign of Uno the Beagle as Mr. Puppy Universe could have lasted indefinitely, all good things must come to an end. And so it is that the Westminster Kennel Club continues its inexorable cycle of competition, unbridled joy, and devastating sorrow. Their annual dog show started at Madison Square Garden yesterday, and we culled some of the most adorable (and slightly mystifying) photos of the puppies getting pampered before the big day.
