Nancy Pelosi Admits to Eavesdropping on Waterboard Conversations

After weeks of awkwardly (and poorly) dodging reporters’ questions about her knowledge of waterboarding, Nancy Pelosi has finally admitted that she kind-of-not-exactly-okay-yeah-totally knew about the enhanced interrogation techniques used by the CIA. But she’s not at fault, you see, because the CIA didn’t tell her about it, and she was left to figure out the dastardly deeds all on her own. “[The CIA] misled us all the time,” she said. “They don’t want that focus on them, so they try to turn the attention on us.” Right, you’d know about that. Okay, so what exactly is the speaker confessing to? That she knew about waterboarding in 2003, but she didn’t Officially Know: “I wasn’t briefed. I was informed that someone else had been briefed about it,” she explained. You’re always overhearing this kind of stuff in the ladies room, you know?
