In case you missed it, Hank Greenberg and AIG finally settled years of acrimonious disputes late last week. In exchange for the former CEO dropping $1 billion worth of claims against it, the government-supported company agreed to pay Greenberg $150 million to cover his legal fees, and agreed to “return to Mr. Greenberg a Persian rug that used to be in the anteroom of AIG’s boardroom.” (It was really soft, you see, as it was made of actual Persian kittens.)
