A bodega in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill neighborhood known as A-Rod Grocery is now considering a name change because of the great shame that Alex Rodriguez has cast upon the Dominican community. “The bodega’s name has been ‘A-Rod’ for 12 years now,” the owner, Ricardo Rodriguez, tells El Diario. “Back then, our [A-Rod] awning was the pride of Dominican fans.”

We don’t know what to name the bodega now,” Rodriguez continues. “But the fact is some customers are boiling mad, even though they still come to buy food here because of our history in Clinton Hill” and because nobody actually cares about the name of their bodega.
