Alec Bladwin’s next move will apparently be into an anchor’s chair at MSNBC, at least according to Mediaite, which cites an anonymous but “senior” source at the network who “insists its a done deal.” The report is slim on solid details about the show, other than that it will air at 10 p.m. on Fridays, “and will feature a large dose of Baldwin’s outspoken liberal politics.” The reported move follows rumors in April that Baldwin was in talks with NBC for his own late-night talk show to replace Last Call with Carson Daly at 1:35 a.m. The Friday show would only be once a week, so maybe he could do both? Baldwin already hosts a weekly talk show on WNYC called Here’s the Thing. Mediaite pointed out that he’s also got a little experience helping Lawrence O’Donnell host Last Word, which runs in the 10 p.m. slot Monday through Thursday.
He sure seemed to enjoy it:
