As Bill Bratton promised, the police have continued to crack down on one of the few nice things about a New York commute: subway break-dancers. Officials say that 46 performers “who swing from bars and do tricks over the heads of commuters” have been charged with reckless endangerment in 2014. (There were only two such charges last year.) Meanwhile, another 50 less ambitious dancers have been busted for disorderly conduct. According to NBC New York, the MTA is now immediately forwarding rider complaints to the NYPD, allowing cops to more efficiently find and shut down showtimes as they occur. It’s a true victory for the city’s most anti-fun people.
