The best shower of Nick Sirianni's year
Eagles players just dumped the ceremonial cooler of Gatorade on coach Sirianni as the clock ticks down toward an Eagles victory.
The Gatorade was yellow/green, of course.
Kenny Pickett now in the game
This game has gotten so out of hand the Eagles took starting quarterback Jalen Hurts out and put backup Kenny Pickett in to finish it off.
Chiefs get into double-digit points
Mahomes found DeAndre Hopkins for a 7-yard touchdown, as the Chiefs get to leave New Orleans with a little dignity.
A two-point toss from Mahomes to Justin Watkins to cut Philadelphia's lead to 40-14 with a little less than 3 minutes left.
That score also made winners of gamblers who bet that the game's total points would go over 48.5.
Huge cheer for Brandon Graham
Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham got a long look on the jumbotron on the last Chiefs possession, and he received raucous applause from the fans still in attendance.
Graham, 36, who has been with the Eagles since 2010, made some big plays during the team's last Super Bowl win. He is in the final year of his contract, and tonight's could be his last game. His season looked over after he tore his triceps in Week 12, but he was activated for this game.
Kelce makes second and then third catches
For anyone still paying attention, Travis Kelce caught his second and third balls of the night.
Down 40-6, he's caught passes for 9 and 8 yards on this current drive.
A good number of empty seats in the Superdome right now
A very Chiefs-light crowd is even lighter late in the fourth quarter of this blowout.
There are swaths of empty seats in the Superdome as the game has more or less been over since the second quarter. Though it wasn’t the most expensive ticket in recent Super Bowl history, the fans who left early have to be particularly upset after having shelled out a small fortune for the game.
Another FG for the Eagles
Elliott has been busy tonight; he connects from 50 yards out to extend the Philadelphia lead to 40-6.
It's a five-score lead with 8:01 left.
The Eagles are doing this after they almost fired their coach
It wasn't that long ago when Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was widely considered to be on the hot seat.
Philly was 2-2 four weeks into the year, and murmurs began about Sirianni’s job security, especially in light of the team’s poor finish to last season. In Week 5, Sirianni was arguing with Eagles fans after a win because of how uninspiring the team’s performance was.
Now? The man who is the winningest coach in Philadelphia history may have the best job security of any coach in the league.
Mahomes sacked and fumble
At some point, the Chiefs will have to take out Mahomes for his own health.
He was sacked by Milton Williams and coughed up a fumble for the QB's third turnover of the game.
Eagles add another FG to this blowout
Jake Elliott connected from 48 yards out, extending Philadelphia's lead to an insurmountable 37-6 with less than 10 minutes left.
Las Vegas still has a close on this game, as bettors who played the total score (over/under 48.5 points) wager are on the edges of their seats.
