The idea of anything vibrating near our eye sockets is scary to say the least. However, Lancôme is launching a new battery-operated mascara called Ôscillation in the fall and today—for one day only—they’re selling limited editions of the makeup gadget before the official November release. We were skeptical at first, but two coats made our lashes look like we had just gotten extensions. A few more strokes and we would have looked like we were ready to perform on Broadway. No need to zigzag, just apply in gentle strokes. The micro-vibration wraps each lash 360 degrees, and the glossy formula contributes to the super-elongated look. The buzzing sound could be a bit quieter, so we don’t recommend applying it in public if you don’t want to get curious stares. On the plus side, the battery lasts long after the tube is empty.
$34 at Lancôme, 201 Columbus Ave., nr. 69th St.; 212-362-4858.
